Japan
For me, the study of the Classical Tradition could not end without bridging the West and the East. Having been raised in Japan, I always had the inkling that we are all part of a larger story. Upon arriving in Japan, I searched believing that the disconnect between these two opposing traditions--each with unique identities, aesthetics, virtues and truths--could be reconciled in art and architecture. I was astonished to discover important connections that united the two traditions together.
