Portrait of Christ

The initial drawing, which would follow the painting, this is my personal interpretation on a beloved theme by Carl Bloch. Red, brown and white chalk was used. As always, I strive to capture the 'idea' of Christ, rather than a 'likeness'. Like we classicists say, 'the idea or spririt drives the form'.
