Relief Sculpture after a painting of Aurora leading the chariots of Apollo and the Muses by Guido Reni. The original fresco is in garden house, adjacent to the Palazzo Pallavicini-Rospigliosi in Rome. My love affair with relief sculpture began in 2007 after encountering 'Fuga d'Attila' by Alessandro Algardi in St. Peter's Basilica. It possessed everything I loved about painting with sculpture. I was mesmerized. This copy was my first step towards learning the technique and language of relief sculpture.
